"I want my athletes to grow in confidence in knowing they can do hard things," says Head Coach Brandi Kist. "That they have built up trust in themselves to problem-solve, use their voice and advocate for themselves. Knowing, even after graduating, they have the QUFH community at their back and supporting them any time they need it."

When you invest in Field Hockey today, you're investing in that long-term growth, the individual players and the community they build together, long after their final game.

"The staff were truly the backbone of my support system throughout my recovery," says Tea Burns '29. "They were there for me during some of the most difficult and uncertain moments, always making sure I felt supported and understood."

Coming from a school with a single athletic trainer covering every sport, the level of care at Queens changed how she sees the profession entirely. "Having professional trainers who are able to spend time with me, understand my specific needs, and follow my recovery closely feels like a luxury," she says. "They constantly remind me that I am a person before I am an athlete."

Head Coach Brandi Kist says that support shapes far more than recovery timelines. "The better equipped and staffed the athletic training department is, the better the outcomes for our student-athletes," she says. "The physical support is there, faster return to play, and the mental health support is especially key for high performers."
