In this final issue, we explore sections of OYFArt, Sports, and Reflections of FAHMzine Live. We do it for our people, and thus, we detail personal narratives of past and present OYFAns.

Additionally, we return to the meaning of advocacy and why this zine is an extraordinary representation of the work that we do and the things that we stand for. We wouldn't be where we are today without our Pamayanan so thank you all for joining us on this special journey.

The Organization of Young Filipino Americans at the University of Virginia will be hosting their annual cultural showcase on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 2 to 5:30pm at the MLK Performing Arts Center.

Our showcase’s theme is Pamana: Legacy. From the performance of traditional and modern dances to a skit that centers the journey of a young man with a dream to make it on a varsity basketball team as he grapples with his Filipino identity.

We will present traditional dances from a diverse array of Filipino ethnic groups. Modern dances will also be staged by all four classes, inspired by Filipino and Filipino-American artists. Our show will conclude with a free Filipino Food potluck reception in the cafeteria accompanied by multiple activities that reminds us of a classic Barrio Fiesta!💛💙❤️

Celebrate OYFA’s biggest and most magical cultural event of the year with us! Rides will be provided; if you are a UVA student needing a ride, there is a single up sheet in our BIO (Linktree)
