Committee to Pave the Lawn

Committee to Pave the Lawn The official page of the Committee to Pave the Lawn at the University of Virginia. Your peev The Committee is many things.

The Committee to Pave the Lawn aims to resolve parking problems on Grounds by establishing a Rink that replaces the Lawn. The parking situation at the University has been an issue in recent years. The closest parking spots from the Rotunda, an essential symbol of the University, are relatively far away. A flat surface that replaces the Lawn not only provides an extra area for parking, but also sti

mulates philosophical thinking about the existence of the Lawn. Therefore, on a macroscopic level, the Committee is committed to promoting thoughtful ideas that enhance student life at the University. Here are just a few examples:
- A platform for open dialogue and discussion of controversial or “taboo” topics
- An avenue for humorous exchanges, creative ideation, and outlandish perspective-taking
- A vehicle for action and facilitation of community engagement or social change
- A shadow government that keeps Student Council and other governing bodies in check

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.

Neil Tyson often conjectures that maybe aliens have concluded humans aren’t intelligent enough to contact. He’s probably referring to our capacity for war, but lawns may display our talent for fruitless carnage even better.

Please help us get the truth out there. Mr. Kostelac is a bona fide squirrel hunter, and we need all the help we can get to defend that fact on social forums like Wikipedia.

Friends, our newest fight involves fellow paver Anthony Kostelac's Wikipedia page. More than an accomplished middle-distance runner and a great friend, Anthony is an expert hunter of rodents, specializing in squirrels. His passion for catching squirrels is an inspiration to all. Sadly, the golden age of Wikipedia (August 19, 2016 - April 13, 2017) ended when some goon decided to vandalize a website that was meant to provide high-quality information for scholars and laymen alike.

Democracy dies in darkness, and we must be beacons of truth and knowledge. If you are a journalist, please publish this important fact (that Anthony is a squirrel hunter) so that it can be cited in the Wiki article. If not, please diligently urge a friend who is, continue editing the page, and keep on raising awareness.
