Delta Zeta at The University of Virginia

Delta Zeta at The University of Virginia Welcome to the page of Delta Zeta at the University of Virginia! In 1976, the Lambda Delta chapter of Delta Zeta was founded at the University of Virginia.

The Delta Zeta sorority was founded in 1902 at the University of Miami, Ohio by six young women . The newly admitted women, to a previously all-male school, made it their mission to create a community of service and scholarship that would last a lifetime. Shortly after its inception, Delta Zeta acquired the turtle as its mascot and its official colors of rose and green. Since then, the sorority ha

s grown to include over 120 diverse women ranging in a wide variety of majors, interests and curricular activities. Today, we work to uphold the values and standards of our founders by our participation in numerous philanthropies as well as several of our own that we host at the university. This page serves as a source for updates and more information about DZ at UVa, thanks for visiting!
