Gavin Aydelotte (EMBA ’26) and Colin Graham (Class of 2027) have a message for companies racing to deploy AI agents: You can’t trust what you haven’t tested.

Aydelotte, COO and co-founder of SnowCrash Labs, and Graham, an analyst at the company, work to identify dangerous AI behaviors before they reach production. This comes as businesses give AI agents more autonomy and access to code, customers, records and money.

Their advice? Security controls aren’t enough. Businesses need rigorous testing, clear accountability and a reliable way to stop or reroute an AI system.

Kristina Alimard (MBA ’03) went looking for a job. C. Ray Smith (MBA ’58) helped her find a career.

In 2003, Kristina turned to the legendary Darden professor for advice. Smith’s unexpected introduction to UVIMCO changed the trajectory of her career. She stayed for 23 years, ultimately becoming chief operating officer, and learned lessons about investing and leadership that extend far beyond the markets.

After more than four decades at UVA Darden, Professor Ed Freeman is preparing to retire from full-time teaching following the 2026-2027 academic year.

Before that next chapter, colleagues, business leaders and former students gathered in July at the UVA Rotunda to celebrate his extraordinary impact from pioneering stakeholder theory to influencing generations of leaders around the world.

Whole Foods Market cofounder and former CEO John Mackey called Freeman a “hero,” while Darden alumna Katherine Neebe (MBA ’04) reflected on the question she has carried throughout her career: “What would Ed do?”
