Doing a little spring cleaning? Put those extra water bottles to good use! ♻️💧

UTC’s Sustainable Mocs RLC is hosting a Reusable Bottle Drive now through April 22nd. We are collecting gently used water bottles, travel mugs, thermoses, and tumblers to support the incredible work of the Chatt Foundation.

Your donations will provide safe, reusable drinkware for individuals working toward stable housing in our community. Do not worry about the cleanup. Our team will make sure every single item is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before it is passed along!

📍 Drop-off Location: Holt Hall 232 (Outside Professor Farnsley’s Office)
🗓️ Deadline: April 22nd

Attention Parents and Families of Future Mocs! 📢💙

Does your student have big dreams for college, but isn't quite sure which path to take yet? That is completely okay, and the CAS Explorers RLC is here to help them!

Fun Fact: The average student changes their major 3 times throughout their college career. Being "undeclared" isn't a setback; it is an exciting opportunity to explore everything UTC has to offer.

We want to help undeclared students—and you, their families—feel confident knowing there is no stigma attached to being undecided. That is why we created the CAS Explorers Residential Learning Community (RLC).

🗺️ What is CAS Explorers?
It is a supportive community designed specifically for students who don't know where their academic journey will lead and have lots of questions about where to start or what major to pick!
CAS Explorers is THE perfect place for them to:
✅ Explore their interests and values.
✅ Learn how those interests can be leveraged into real careers.
✅ Discover the majors that facilitate this process.
✅ Live and learn in a supportive community made up of other undeclared students just like them.

Plus, the RLC Coordinator is an experienced academic advisor who brings a wealth of knowledge to the community and classroom, guiding them every step of the way!

A few weeks ago, A&SRC members volunteered for the IRONMAN Chattanooga, demonstrating how our students are integral to the heart of our community and committed to service!
Our residents proudly served at Aid Station 1, playing a vital role in supporting the athletes by providing water and encouragement. It was an inspiring display of teamwork, dedication, and the impactful spirit of the A&SRC.

Welcome, UTC Parents & Families!

As you and your student arrive on campus for Move-In, we want to extend a warm welcome to the Arts & Sciences Residential College (A&SRC) community. We understand this is a significant and exciting time, and our goal is to ensure a smooth, successful, and supportive start for everyone.

Most importantly, we would love for you and your student to join us at the Welcome Bash!

To help with a smooth transition, we’ve put together this "First Week Survival Guide" with key information specifically for you. In this photo album, you will find:

✔ A step-by-step guide for Operation Move-In.
✔ A special invitation to our A&SRC Welcome Bash this Saturday! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect over a complimentary dinner.
✔ Helpful tips on how your student can find their classes and prepare for the first day.
✔ An introduction to your student's dedicated on-site support team, our Resident Assistants (RAs).
✔ Important information regarding academic deadlines and the new policy on decorating rooms (hint: Command strips are your friend!).

Welcome, UTC parents and families, to the Arts & Sciences Residential College (A&SRC)!

We know you want to see your student thrive at college, not just academically, but socially as well. The transition to university life is a significant step, and finding a supportive community is key to success. That is precisely why the A&SRC was created.

We are a free Residential Learning Community (RLC) designed to provide an instant support network for students, for free. By applying to live and take select classes geared towards each RLC with a cohort of peers, your student will build lasting friendships and have immediate access to study partners, all while being mentored by dedicated faculty and staff, known as RLC coordinators.

As you can see in these photos, the A&SRC provides a vibrant and enriching experience. From fun community-building events and volunteer opportunities to incredible signature programs like the A&SRC Explorers trip to Mexico, that's subsidized through scholarships, there's something for every student. It’s an environment designed for connection, growth, and academic achievement.
