Today, we welcomed our first-year MPH students at orientation! There was a lot of excitement and energy in the UTC Library and we cannot wait to see what is in store for all of them! This morning, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 6th anniversary of White Oak Bicycle, a valued community partner of the MPH program. WOBC has not only been an important part of our community, but also a meaningful practical experience site for our MPH students, providing opportunities to gain real-world experience and connect public health concepts with community engagement.

We are grateful for this partnership and for the work WOBC continues to do to promote an active, healthy community.

When Serena Olsen completed an assignment during her MPH program, she may not have imagined that it would eventually become something much bigger, a published article!
With encouragement and mentorship from her professor, Serena took her work beyond the classroom, continued developing it, and turned that assignment into her first publication in less than three months after graduating! 🎓🎉

Congratulations, Serena on this wonderful milestone. Your journey as a public health scholar has officially begun, and we can’t wait to see where it takes you next! 👏
