Launch Your Clinical Social Work Career with Widener University!

Interested in clinical social work and pursuing your LCSW in Pennsylvania? Widener University’s Center for Social Work Education is excited to announce a Pilot LCSW Supervision Program launching Fall 2026!

Why this matters:
In PA, post-graduate clinical supervision is required for licensure—and it can be costly. This pilot program allows campus MSW students to receive post-graduate LCSW supervision at no extra cost, included with tuition.

Program Highlights:
✔️ Post-graduate LCSW supervision included
✔️ Led by PA LCSWs representing diverse identities and backgrounds
✔️ Designed with equity and access at the center

📌 Eligibility:
• Starting Widener’s campus MSW program in Fall 2025 or Fall 2026
• In good standing in the MSW program
• Seeking LCSW licensure in Pennsylvania

Local MSW alum ~ check out this additional opportunity of a path towards licensure!

The requirements are below:

LSW: must have an MSW from an accredited college or university, must be actively working with a school or in a setting where they are working with children/adolescents. Must live in Philadelphia, PA.

LCSW: must have a LSW and actively be providing direct clinical care in a school setting or working directly with children/adolescents. In addition, they will need to have completed 1,750 hours clinical hours and 80 supervision hours. Must live in Philadelphia, PA.
