Widener Alpha Tau Omega

Widener Alpha Tau Omega Iota Delta Chapter of ATΩ at Widener University. Founded in 1865. America’s Leadership Development Fraternity. Currently there are 28 active members of ATO.

Alpha Tau Omega, Iota Delta started as Alpha Roh Omega (APO) Fraternity at Brandywine College, Delaware. When APO lost its charter the leadership of the Fraternity decided to petition ATO for colony status. In 1983, in the in-between time of APO to ATO, we were known as LPO. Taking PO and using the L from then President Larry Cessna. We were then offered colony status in 1987 and became a full cha

pter on September 24th 1988. Widener moved there residence to from Brandywine to Chester, PA for the 1988 school year, thus the chapter moved as well. Our brothers are very active on campus, and serve in Leadership roles on campus. Some are involved in Student Government, Presidential Service Corps, Interfraternity Council, Alternative Spring Break, and the Swim Team. We pride ourselves on our unique diversity, accepting all members into the brotherhood.
