Congratulations again to our 2026 graduates! While we weren't able to snag a picture with everyone on a very busy graduation day, we are cheering each one of you on now and in the future. We're going to miss this group very much.

Seth Horan: Double major in CMS and English with minors in Creative Writing and Journalism, Editing, & Publishing. Seth was a Cater Society Fellow and a member of Sigma Tau Delta. Seth is also the winner of the Writers' Union Award and a finalist for the Sophie Kerr Prize.

During his time at Washington College, Seth studied abroad at Meiji Gakuin University, was a member of WACapella, and performed in Spring Awakening this last semester with the Theatre and Dance Department. He also served as President of the Writers' Union and Prose Editor for the Collegian. Colby Andrews: CMS major with minors in Music and Philosophy. Colby is also the winner of the Alpha Chi Omega Music Award. With this award, it comes as no surprise that Colby is a talented multi-instrumentalist and a key member of the jazz combo and the rock ensemble on campus.

Chase Ruppel: double major in CMS and Business Management and minor in Marketing. Chase won both the Coaches' Award for the baseball team and the Thomas Reeder Spedden Award. This award recognizes a senior student-athlete who simultaneously maintains high academic records and outstanding achievement in athletics. This year, Chase helped lead the men's baseball team to the Centennial Conference Championships earning him numerous college records in this season alone: most home runs in a season (14), most RBI in a season (53), most games played in a season (42), and most games started in a season (42). This year's home run record contributed to Chase's career home runs (32) for which he also holds the college record.

During his time at Washington College, Chase also completed multiple internships, both in sales for a sports tech company and in account and transportation logistics. He is also one of the hosts of the podcast "Small Town, Big Takes," a show that covers the NFL, NBA, and MLB which you can listen to now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Celia Long: double major in CMS and Sociology; minor in Justice, Law, and Society; and Cater Society Fellow. Celia graduated summa cm laude with departmental honors in CMS and Sociology, SCE Honors, and membership in two honors societies: Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Kappa Delta. Celia is also the winner of the Casey Medal and the Horsely Award in Sociology.

In her sophomore year, Celia studied abroad at Royal Holloway University and later completed research leading up to and for her SCE in New York City, Philadelphia, Madrid, Tokyo, and Taipei. She'll be continuing her international studies next year as she begins a master's in Society, Communication, and Media at Charles University in Prague. Darius Kesey: major in CMS, minor in Sociology, and Cater Society Fellow. Darius graduated summa cm laude with departmental and SCE honors. Darius is also the winner of the CMS Senior Capstone Award and the Holstein Program in Ethics Senior Award.

Darius is a talented photographer and storyteller. During his time at WC, Darius regularly used these skills for Athletic Communications, The Elm, and the CMS department. In just the last year, his own work took him to Mexico to study and document the cultural significance of the Melipona bee in Maya society and more recently to Peru to explore the lasting effects and processes of memory building for people who lived through the internal conflict there.

Faye Dorman: double major in CMS and Economics, minor in Creative Writing, and Cater Society Fellow. Faye graduated summa cm laude with departmental honors in CMS and Economics, SCE Honors, and membership in two honors societies: Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon. Faye is also the winner of the CMS Outstanding Scholar Award and the McCall Prize in International Economics.

During her time at WC, Faye completed a short term study abroad in Japan and spent a semester at Meiji Gakiun University. Right now, she's participating in the Kiplin Hall study abroad experience. She's also had internships with the Winterthur Museum, the Hagley Museum and Library, and will be working at the National Aquarium this summer when she returns from England.
