🎉 Meet Addysen Rosner, our Ag & Equine Facilities Assistant Manager! 🐴💙💛

Addysen was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended East High School before continuing her education at LCCC, where she earned degrees in Equine Science and Paralegal Studies. She plans to continue her education through LCCC’s bachelor’s program in the future.

Agriculture and equine have always been a big part of Addysen’s life. She is actively involved in the 4-H community, spends time volunteering, and is passionate about the impact agriculture-based extracurricular activities can have on young people and their communities. She also enjoys judging horse shows and coaching horse judging teams. Her judging opportunities have taken her across the country, and she has coached several teams that have earned top-five national finishes!

When she isn’t working with horses or students, Addysen enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her dog, Barley, and cat, Hops. 🐶🐱

This year, Addysen is especially excited to begin her second year as coach of the LCCC Equestrian Team. With several new and exciting changes happening within the team, she is looking forward to watching the students continue to grow, improve, and proudly represent the Ag & Equine Pathway.

As a former LCCC student, some of Addysen’s favorite memories came from participating on teams, taking classes alongside her peers, and building friendships that have lasted long after graduation.

Her advice to students?

👉 Network, participate, travel, and have fun. Take advantage of every opportunity you can. College can be about so much more than earning a degree—the people you meet and experiences you say yes to can shape your future in ways you never expected.

🎉 Meet our new faculty member, Kevin Teten! 🤠

Kevin is originally from Wheatland, Wyoming, and his college journey actually began right here at LCCC, where he competed on the Rodeo Team. He later transferred to the University of Wyoming, continued rodeoing, and earned his B.S. in Agricultural Education.

Kevin went on to spend 20 years teaching agricultural education and serving as an FFA advisor, and he also earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Outside of work, Kevin stays busy keeping up with his almost 16-year-old and 12-year-old. His family motto sums things up pretty well: “Kids, Cows, and Chaos!” 🐄

This is Kevin’s first year at LCCC, and he is excited to hit the ground running and help wherever he can.

Coming back to LCCC is also a bit of a full-circle moment. During his time as a student, Kevin had the opportunity to compete at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) for LCCC.

His advice to students is simple:

👉 “Do the work. It pays off in the end.”

We’re excited to welcome Kevin back to LCCC and to the Ag & Equine team! 💙💛

🌟 Internship Spotlight 🌟

This summer, our student Destre Kaisler, gained valuable hands-on experience at Sage Veterinary Services while working as a veterinary assistant!

Throughout the internship, they assisted with a wide variety of equine veterinary procedures, including vaccinations, reproductive scans, breeding mares, lameness exams, joint preparation, bandaging, blood draws, and more. They also had the opportunity to assist with procedures such as stallion collection, castration, and neutering.

One of the highlights of the summer was getting hands-on experience with artificial insemination and ultrasounding a mare—an exciting opportunity to build skills and learn more about equine reproduction.

Experiences like this give our students the chance to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom while developing practical skills alongside industry professionals. We’re excited to see where these experiences take them next! 🐴🩺

🌟 Internship Spotlight 🌟

This summer, our student, Kate Hartman, has been gaining hands-on experience with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources at Lakeport State Park!

As a state worker, they have helped maintain the campground through tasks such as w**d trimming, cleaning campsites and the beach, and keeping the park ready for visitors. They’ve also spent plenty of time working directly with campers—answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with check-in and check-out.

Through the experience, they’ve strengthened their communication and customer service skills while learning what it takes to help operate and maintain a busy state park.

And one of the best perks? Getting to spend the summer working lakeside! 🌊

We love seeing our students take what they’re learning beyond the classroom and gain valuable experience through internships!
