Four Wyoming women artists are bringing their work to communities across the state through Wyoming Women to Watch: A Book Arts Revolution, a new traveling exhibition opening at the Laramie Plains Civic Center.
Featuring work by Jodie Atherton of Laramie, Oakley Boycott of Lander, Katie Christensen of Laramie and Kayla Clark of Laramie, the exhibition explores the diverse forms and creative possibilities of book arts. All four artists were selected for consideration in the National Museum of Women in the Arts’ 2027 Women to Watch exhibition.
The public is invited to celebrate the opening on Sept. 25 with a free reception and a moderated artist discussion led by curator Beth Venn. The conversation will explore the artists’ creative practices, inspirations and experiences as Wyoming artists.
