November has long been recognized as Children’s Grief Awareness Month—a time dedicated to increasing understanding and support for young people who are grieving. This year’s “Flip the Script” campaign builds on that mission by challenging common narratives surrounding childhood bereavement and encouraging individuals and communities to reflect on their responses to grief, adopting approaches that foster empathy, understanding, and meaningful support.

This campaign aims to create a more understanding and supportive environment for these young people. By having open conversations, we can break down the stigma that often surrounds grief. Throughout the month, the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) and its partners lead efforts to provide educational resources, host events, and share stories highlighting the importance of grief awareness.

Sharing a request for participants!

I am conducting an IRB-approved research study to investigate the relationship between clinical psychology doctoral programs' messaging about and incorporation of self-care and students' perceived stress levels. Additionally, this study aims to get a better understanding of the relationship between different variables encompassed under doctoral students’ perceptions of their programs’ self-care culture.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be a graduate student currently enrolled in an APA-accredited clinical psychology PsyD program and presently participating in a clinical practicum and academic coursework. Participation in this study will take approximately 20 minutes of your time, and upon full completion of the study, you will have the option of entering into a raffle for a $50 gift card to Amazon.com. You will find more information and the complete consent form upon clicking the screener link below.
