Professor Roxanne Owens and TL Graduate Elementary major Claire Murray participated in a state-wide literacy event sponsored by the Illinois Reading Council held at Tinley Park High School on April 25, 2026. The Illinois Reads/Young Authors Conference brought together published authors with aspiring elementary and high school authors from across the state to be inspired and learn from each other. Owens served on the coordinating committee and Murray, currently student teaching at Pritzker CPS, participated as a volunteer providing valuable assistance throughout the day.

Join College of Education students, staff, faculty, and alumni at Vincentian Service Day (VSD) this year! After volunteering, a free barbecue will be held until 3 p.m.
