Calling all high schoolers!

Join us on the beautiful grounds of Mundelein Seminary for a week of exploring the Western and Catholic intellectual tradition as we examine together the rich theme of the journey. In our expedition together—alongside the likes of such adventurers as Odysseus, Augustine, Dante, Bonaventure, Teresa of Avila, and Don Quixote—we will consider what it means to set out as sojourners and pilgrims longing for a true homeland in which we’ve never lived, to act heroically in the face of a broken world, and finally to return home to God, accepting the call to be saints.

APPLY BY MAY 31: The Fons Vitae Institute is hosting a three-day seminar to examine what has long been called the “contraceptive mentality,” along with new challenges related to in vitro fertilization (IVF).

From the outset, the Magisterium of the Catholic Church has warned of the potential negative consequences of separating union from reproduction intrinsic to both contraception and IVF. The emerging field of restorative reproductive medicine, on the other hand, focuses on diagnosing and treating underlying causes of reproductive problems, aiming to restore natural function.

Students will encounter theological, epidemiologic, clinical, and pastoral experts to spur us toward a robust dialogue about reproductive medicine in its personal and social context in the twenty-first century and, ultimately, how to improve the health of couples, children, and families while also promoting the common good of society as a whole, especially those who are socio-economically disadvantaged.

The application closes on May 31. Participants will be admitted on a rolling basis; applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
