The Department of Latin American and Latino Studies explores the cultural contributions of Latin Americans to the global community and highlights perspectives and traditions that have developed in the region. It analyzes the multicultural ch

aracter of the peoples of Latin America by calling attention to the complex interplay among Indigenous, European, Semitic, Arab, Asian and African societies in the region. It explores the profound linkage that has emerged between Latin America and the United States, particularly through the construction of Latino communities in the U.S.

Position Description
DePaul University’s Social Transformation Research Collaborative (STRC) invites applications for one, one-year Post-Doctoral Humanities Fellowships in Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies, to begin July 2024.

The Fellow will be housed in the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies and required to teach three courses in the humanities per year (one per 10-week quarter), cross-listed as appropriate. Specific courses and scheduling will be determined in consultation with the Fellow’s department chair.
