What's New With You?
Hey gang! It's Joyce, back at it again with the outdated memes and funky fresh newsletters!

How's the semester going for you? Good? Bad? Nothing particularly interesting happening?

Well I have a few updates for y'all!

We unfortunately won't be having Movie Mondays for a little while. Why? Something about copyright? You know how laws exist and we have to abide by them or something. We'll let y'all know when they come back though!

We have a few things we wanna highlight as well, so keep reading!

Welcome To The Spring Semester!

Hello everyone!

It's SDI's first newsletter, and am I GLAD to finally put this out!

Let me first introduce myself; my name's Joyce and I'm one of the student workers at Student Diversity and Inclusion. You've probably seen me if you frequent the office, I'm usually tapping away at the computer or fixing the printer for people OR holding student org meetings on Tuesday and Thursday!

But enough about me, let's hear about you! How have you been? Has the semester been good to you so far?

Before I go on with the newsletter, here's a welcome from our Director:

"Hello Columbia College Chicago! I hope you're having a lovely spring semester and staying hydrated, rested, and warm. We are very excited to debut our new biweekly newsletter to keep our community updated on all of the things happening in SDI. Columbia College Chicago prioritizes diversity and inclusion as a vital component of the student experience. Student Diversity & Inclusion (SDI) supports this charge through programming, student support, educational outreach, and intentional community building. SDI’s programs and events aim to engage Columbia students in the exploration of their identities; and in understanding the ways in which identity is uniquely embodied, expressed, and lived. We thank you for joining us on this journey and look forward to seeing you soon!"

Make sure to swing on by throughout the week to check out our resources; including free coffee, tea, and snacks available at all times!

Accessing The Rack is simple – just come by Student Diversity and Inclusion! It is come as you are, as often as you need. When you visit us, one of our student workers will show you where it is.

The Rack is available to all students regardless of financial aid status.

On using fashion/ art as activism: "I want to educate you on what you're wearing. I want to be intentional of what you wear and what you put on your body. I think using fashion creates advocates and creates allies." - Peter Gaona
