A few weeks ago, our Fire Battalion cadets completed Fall Field Training Exercise (FTX) at Camp Atterbury, Indiana!

Throughout the weekend, cadets had the opportunity to train and develop their skills through Land Navigation, Basic R***e Marksmanship (BRM), Situational Training Exercises (STX), the Obstacle Course, Field Leadership Reaction Course (FLRC), and Engagement Skills Trainer (EST).

Thanks to the hard work and preparation of our cadet leadership and cadre, the FTX was well organized and gave everyone a chance to learn, challenge themselves, and grow as future Army leaders.

More to come…

🔥 Leadership Excellence Spotlight & Recruiting News from UChicago 🔥

Cadets Willard, Ogle, Sandhu, Boyle, Larson, Grewal, Jashinsky, Garcia, Richardson, and Valtierra represented the Fire Battalion at the University of Chicago Undergraduate Fair from 1500–1700 today.

Our cadets demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and initiative while engaging with the incoming student population and sharing their experiences in Army ROTC.

Their efforts resulted in 9 freshmen expressing interest in the program who will be joining us for PT on Monday, with an additional 4 freshmen considering joining Army ROTC — 13 prospective cadets engaged in a single recruiting event!

Outstanding work by our cadets for representing the University of Chicago and Fire Battalion while continuing to build the program and strengthen our presence across campus.

Congratulations to CDT Balint, our Fire Battalion Cadet of the Month! 🔥

Serving as our Battalion S3, CDT Balint put countless hours into planning and preparing for Fall FTX at Camp Atterbury. From coordinating training to making sure everything was ready for ex*****on, much of the work happened behind the scenes and it showed when our cadets hit the ground.

Her hard work and dedication helped make this FTX one of our best training events yet, giving cadets across the battalion a valuable and memorable experience.

Great work, CDT Balint, and thank you for everything you put into making FTX a success! 🇺🇸🔥
