“We met during COVID, at a time when so much about the world felt uncertain. Somehow, in the middle of it all, we found something that felt certain in each other. What began in an unusual moment grew into a life together filled with love, laughter, travel, adventure, dogs, and a shared home in Chicago. We officially became husband and wife on New Year’s Eve 2025, and on August 8, 2026 (the anniversary of our first date), we were lucky enough to celebrate our love surrounded by our family and friends and now Rockefeller Chapel will always be a part of that story.

We chose Rockefeller because it brings together pieces of both of us: Ratima’s love of architecture and our shared love for Chicago. With its incredible beauty, history, and connection to the University of Chicago, it felt like a meaningful place to begin this next chapter of our lives together.”

This week, we are celebrating the love story of Chris (MBA, ‘09) and Ratima Mata, who got married in Rockefeller Chapel on August 8, 2026🥂
