Congratulations to our very own Matthew J. Major, PhD, on being named a recipient of a 2026 Collaborative Intelligence Research Award (CIRA) from the Northwestern Network for Collaborative Intelligence (NNCI).
Dr. Major, alongside collaborators Karan Ahuja and Matthew A. Grayson, received funding for their project, βAI-Enabled Wearable Electrical Impedance Tomography for Prosthetic Control," which explores how AI-enabled technologies can advance prosthetic control and improve outcomes for individuals with limb loss.
The CIRA program supports interdisciplinary research that brings together expertise in AI, data science, and domain-specific knowledge. This award recognizes outstanding interdisciplinary research and researchers from across Northwestern University who are advancing innovative solutions through collaboration and discovery.
Congratulations to Dr. Major on this well-deserved recognition! We look forward to seeing the impact of this important work.
