Happy Match Day to the University of Illinois College of Medicine Class of 2026! This morning, over 200 students from the College of Medicine's three campuses learned where they will start their residency programs in just a few short weeks. The states with the highest number of UI COM residents entering their programs are Illinois, California, and Ohio, with internal medicine being the largest specialty group. Congratulations again to the Class of 2026!

This morning's St. Baldrick's event had our community coming together in support of childhood cancer research. Participants from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, UI Health, and the University of Illinois Cancer Center each took part! Thanks to Fox 32 Chicago for capturing this annual event.

Doctors, patients and community members at UI Health shave their heads to raise money for pediatric cancer research supported by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
