Come hear about Bernard de Colmont, a French ethnologist, who went to the borderlands of Mexico-Guatemala to study, film, and record the Lacandón people in 1933 and 1935. The Lacandón were considered a "lost tribe" remotely located in the mountains of Chiapas and deemed to be the closest living relatives of the Maya.

Since 1989, Loyola University history professor Timothy Gilfoyle has conducted a "midnight bike ride" for his students and friends. The event introduces students to major themes in American history by visiting various historic sites in Chicago.
