Dr. Hamilton's book, Nothing Less than Equality, Hamilton sheds light on how Black parents, teachers, activists, and community members fought for fair and equal education in Washington, D.C. Gasman highlights that, "Hamilton's work pushes readers to reconsider what educational justice looked like in Black communities and why many saw the preservation of Black educational institutions as worth defending."
