Hosted by the UIC Business Department of Finance, the conference brought together leading scholars from across the country to present cutting-edge research and explore emerging topics shaping the future of finance. With only 12 papers selected from 260 submissions, the event highlighted the rigor, innovation, and academic excellence that define UIC Business.

From insightful presentations to a keynote by Harvard Business School’s Lauren Cohen, the conference showcased the impact of UIC Finance as a hub for influential research and scholarly collaboration.

More than 200 students, alumni, faculty, employers, and friends of UIC Business came together to celebrate excellence at the 53rd Annual Accounting Banquet. 🎉📊

The evening showcased what makes the UIC Business accounting community so special—meaningful networking, student achievement, generous scholarship support, and inspiring stories of leadership and perseverance.

One of the highlights of the night was recognizing outstanding accounting students and celebrating the donors and industry partners who help make their success possible. Attendees also heard from incoming Accounting Club President Iscleiry (Izzy) Pujols, whose powerful story of determination and leadership earned a standing ovation.

Financial literacy is a life skill—and UIC Business students are helping make it accessible to the next generation. 💡💰

Through a Spring 2026 pilot partnership with Aon, UIC Business students worked alongside industry professionals to deliver hands-on financial literacy education to hundreds of students at Solorio High School. Guided by program coordinators Cordelia Callaway and Rosa Rebolledo, the initiative gave high school students practical tools for making informed financial decisions while providing UIC Business students with meaningful community engagement and professional experience.
