🎃👻 From imagination to creation! 💻✨

What a SPOOKTACULAR time we had at our WIEP Introduction to Tinkercad Workshop! 💗

A HUGE thank you to Ian Aguilar, a senior in Mechanical Engineering and one of our wonderful WIEP student instructors, for leading such a fun and engaging workshop! Our students explored the world of 3D design and created their very own spooky designs to be laser cut at the UIC Makerspace! 🛠️✨

Thank you SO much to everyone who joined us! We absolutely loved seeing your creativity come to life! 🥹💗

🎃 Missed the workshop? No need to fear, SP👀-keychains are here! 👻 We’re brewing up a little something special for next week! Come visit the lounge!

and hosted an EIEP Open House recently to welcome new and returning students and the entire UIC community to campus. The vibrant EIEP lounge was created for and with students. It’s open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday. You’re welcome to study, connect, recharge, or simply spend time between classes. Reservations are welcomed for events, programs, private study, office hours, job interviews, and more!
The Equity and Inclusion in Engineering Program (EIEP) works to foster an inclusive and supportive engineering community where students can build connections, access resources, and thrive academically, personally, and professionally. As part of EIEP, Women in Engineering Programs (WIEP) provides outreach programs, resources, and community-building opportunities that support women-identifying students and others who have historically been underrepresented in engineering.

Scholarships can provide financial support, but their impact goes so much deeper💫

This week, we had the privilege of bringing our scholars together with Eugene Carter and Rita Rodriguez, and Bill Unger and Dr. Debra Evans for two incredibly meaningful evenings.

There is something so special about creating space for our donors and students to simply sit together, listen, learn, and connect. Our donors get to hear firsthand what today’s students are experiencing, and our scholars get to meet the people who believe in them and continue to invest in their futures.

We are so grateful for these relationships and for the life-changing impact they continue to have on our students❤️

UIC really said: MATLAB workshop today? Let’s turn off the power AND the WiFi😭💻

But we made it happen anyway!!💪✨

A HUGE thank you to Zaara Haque zaara :) for leading an amazing MATLAB in Action workshop and persevering through every unexpected challenge that came our way! Zaara did such a wonderful job teaching, adapting, and making sure our students still had a great experience❤️

And to our students: THANK YOU for showing up, problem-solving with us, and making this such a fun workshop! We loved having such a full room and hope you learned something new (and enjoy your new swag 👀).

What an amazing afternoon at Bogan High School! A huge congratulations to all of the Bogan Bengals who came out to explore their options, ask questions, connect with college representatives, and start thinking about what’s next. Your future is full of possibilities! 🧡🖤

A very special thank you to Kimberly Jurado and the entire Bogan team for bringing together so many colleges and universities and creating such a welcoming and meaningful experience for students. We’re so grateful to have been part of it!

The UIC College of Engineering had an amazing time connecting with your students, and we can’t wait to see where all of our future Bengals go next! 🎓✨
