As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on the conversations and events that help shape a stronger future for higher education and the students we serve.

Last week, National Louis University welcomed Dr. Susana Rivera-Mills, President of Aurora University, for a special fireside chat, "The Next Decade of Servingness - Shaping Our Future." The discussion highlighted the importance of servingness, student success, and the vital role Hispanic-Serving Institutions play in expanding opportunity for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated our shared commitment to empowering students and strengthening communities.

Andrea Messing-Mathie, Executive Director of Undergraduate Research, shares how National Louis University is rethinking degree pathways for today's learners.

Through NLU's 3-Year Bachelor's Program, eligible students can earn up to one year of college credit for full-time work experience, helping them save time, reduce costs, and continue advancing their careers while earning their degree.

It's a flexible approach designed for working adults and built around the reality that learning doesn't only happen in the classroom.

Learning extends far beyond the classroom in National Louis University's Undergraduate Honors Program.

Last week, Honors students kicked off the academic year by building community, exploring leadership opportunities, and discovering Chicago through collaborative activities led by comedian and nonprofit leader Kadeem Fuller.

Then, students continued that spirit of exploration with a visit to Goodman Theatre's The Attic: Things I've Seen While Lying On My Back, featuring the renowned 7 Fingers company. The experience included a behind-the-scenes conversation with theater leaders about the many career pathways that help bring the arts to life.

From building connections to engaging with Chicago's cultural community, our Honors students are preparing for a year of learning, leadership, and discovery.
