“Helena and I first met freshman year when we were placed together as roommates, not knowing that we would soon become inseparable. It’s so crazy to think that we went from being complete strangers moving into college together to becoming best friends, each other’s other half, and sisters. From running home together on bid day to all the little moments and memories we’ve made along the way, Alpha Phi has only brought us closer. What started as simply being roommates turned into a friendship I truly couldn’t imagine my college experience without. Helena has become someone I know I can always count on, someone who can make me laugh no matter what, and someone who makes even the simplest moments so much more special. I’m forever grateful that college brought us together and that Alpha Phi gave us even more memories to share. “Being a senior in college and looking back at these four years, the best thing that could have ever happened to me is meeting my best friend Taylor. Taylor and I met when we were little freshman in the dorms. I was so scared about going to Chico and leaving home but that all changed immediately when she started to move in. Taylor has been the person I will go to no matter what and will be the one to always pick me up when I am down. Running home to Alpha Phi with Taylor just continued to grow our friendship and add to the countless memories we have made. It’s crazy to think she has only been in my life for less than four years but she is someone who I can’t ever imagine my life without.
