Poetry Tuesdays are back and this time, they’re here to stay (as long as admins stay consistent 🤞🏼)

This week the prompt was fall.

We are coming up on the fall season. Write a short poem about what fall means to you be it the season or the action or sensation of falling.

Congrats to Mary for being this week’s featured poetry writer. Thank you to the amazing writers who submitted this week.

If you’d like a chance to be featured, there’s always submissions open for new prints each week.

DISCLAIMER: The OWG officers do not base the posts for Poetry Tuesdays on who did the best, rather they pick at random (number generator) to give everyone a fair chance at being featured.

Gloria was proud to be herself. She was featured in several versions of the Vagabond, and was one of the select few who participated with us for SWC VAMP.
In Gloria's honour, wear something purple, and something shiny. Read poetry. Look at plants. Appreciate life, and honour her spirit by creating.
Our best wishes to Gloria's family, and we send you our love, Gloria.

Celebrate the life of Gloria de Jesus, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary.

California has launched its first statewide mental health line, which is toll-free and will be staffed daily.

The California Peer-Run Warm Line offers non-emergency emotional support and referrals to anyone in the state needing mental health help.

It's made possible due to a state budget allocation of $10.8 million over three years.

The line is toll-free, and it will be staffed daily for most of the day. The number is 1-855-845-7415. You can use it via telephone or instant messaging.

Mondays to Fridays: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturdays: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sundays: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The debut of the California Peer-Run Warm Line came before Thursday's World Mental Health Day. The theme this year is su***de prevention.

If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering su***de, you can call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
