The UC Cardi-OH team would like to share a recent capsule with you: Capsule 60 – Promoting Nutritional Literacy in Primary Care, co-written by our own Mary Beth Vonder Meulen, RN, CCRC. Nutrition literacy refers to the ability to understand how food choices affect health, interpret nutrition labels to make healthier decisions, and apply that knowledge to make informed dietary choices. Learn about tools primary care teams can use to identify patients with low health and/or nutrition literacy as a part of patient education around healthy food and lifestyle choices to prevent chronic illness.
