DIFT Alumni Victoria Page Jordan is an incredible example of how exploring new opportunities can lead you exactly where you’re meant to be. Xavier’s 48-hour film challenges helped her discover her passion for editing and set her on a path toward the film and television industry.

“That’s when I realized I wanted to pursue a career as an editor.”

“I discovered editing at Xavier. It allowed me to grow in an environment where help was available to me.”

After graduating in 2010, Victoria moved to Los Angeles to pursue post-production and gain hands-on experience in the industry. Today, she serves as Senior Manager of Post-Production at Paramount Pictures, working across film and television. As an alum she’s been a great mentor some of the DIFT students.

From late nights in Xavier’s film challenges to leading post-production at Paramount, Victoria’s journey is a reminder to explore new opportunities, find what you love, and see where it takes you.

We’re so proud to call Victoria a Xavier DIFT alum! 🎬💙

A Journey to Success!

Xavier DIFT Alumn Tara Jabour is an intelligent journalist that is career focused and a fearless individual that exemplifies the program. Tara originally from a town south of Cleveland came to Xavier as a Biology major that after two year though the advice of Blis DeVault pivoted to Communications. This can-do kind of woman quickly flourished in the program and was known as a fearless and hard worker. Between her studies abroad in Rome, Italy and her work with Local 12 Tara worked hard to achieve her dreams. Despite switching majors Tara graduated with a PR and DIFT double major and once graduating grew at Local 12 for two years. Tara’s reporting journey has only gone up from there! She then moved to WTOV9, then WCIV-TV in Charleston and what turned out to be a career-defining moment: the double murder trial of Alex Murdaugh, WBNS-TV, and now is nonstop at FOX 5 Atlanta telling stories with character. So proud to see Tara succeed and can’t wait to see what is next!

“Keep working.  But trust your gut.  Take a chance.  And then take advantage of those opportunities.”
