Gentlemen’s Quarterly is the premiere organization for Men of Color at the University of Cincinnati. We are a black male student organization focused on the success, retention, and graduation of black men through college.
We execute this goal by infusing Afrikan cultural consciousness, political awareness, commitment to liberation and uplift of Afrikan peoples, respect toward women, and building of Afrikan community solidarity.
Our mission is to foster a brotherhood of black males at UC by developing our collective consciousness through programs and events, embodying educational excellence, and engaging in community service/mentorship.
Gentlemen’s Quarterly was founded February 10th 2011 by 4 men, Greg Evans, Mark McIntyre, Obeye Bayard, and Randy King. GQ created because UC was failing to acknowledge the low retention and graduation rates of black males.
