Lots of great education and fun was had Mount St. Joseph University with our students in the Mount St. Joseph University - Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and area high school students enrolled in the TAP Summer Academy through The Health Collaborative. The high school students engaged in multiple activities related to physical therapy as taught by the current DPT 2028 students. We were thrilled to host so many aspiring health care professionals and are hopeful that their experiences today will help them develop insights toward their future careers and working collaborations with members of various healthcare professions. Great job to all students today 👏💪👍🩼🩺👩‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️🧑🏾‍⚕️👩🏾‍⚕️

Another incredible afternoon of learning for the DPT 2027 cohort as they collaborated with students from UC Clermont PTA Program to engage in professional conversation on legislation and advocacy for the PT profession. Students connected with Ohio Senator Louis Blessing III Senator Louis W. Blessing III and Representative Cindy Abrams State Representative Cindy Abrams along with Ohio Physical Therapy Association Ohio Physical Therapy Association leaders, Executive Director, Mike Mathy, Lobbyist, Amanda Sines, and Federal Affairs Liaison, Dr. Paul Gagne, PT, DPT. Students later shared various current legislative issues with one another on both federal and state proposed laws impacting physical therapy practice.

Thank you to our distinguished guests for investing in the next generation of physical therapists as we move toward better access and care for patients!

The Mount St. Joseph University DPT 2029’s concluded their formal orientation week with the annual PT Alumni Welcome Breakfast sponsored by the Mount St. Joseph University Alumni team. Special thanks to our alumni from the 1999 cohort to the 2025 cohort who helped share their insights, tips, and passion for physical therapy. We appreciate your ongoing support in and out of the clinic. Thanks also to and for the support in facilitating connections with our physical therapy community members and alumni.

We are looking forward to seeing the 2029 students in action next week when they begin their full-time courses. You got this!

Day #1 completed for our newest .physicaltherapy DPT 2029 Cohort! The new students were able to connect with their faculty and peers during our orientation week kick off. Many laughs and stories were shared as the students ease into the program. More fun to come this week as special visits from upperclassmen/women and alumni join for a warm welcome to the program. Congrats 2029’s! We are excited to see what you will do at the Mount!

Our .physicaltherapy DPT 2027’s had a great time serving our community during Dr. ‘s PT 747 Course. ‘Tips, Grips, and Preventing Slips’ was held at both the Greentownship Senior Center and at the new Delhi Township Administration Event Center for Delhi Township citizens. Thank you for your generous hospitality and support for our students as they learn to work with and serve older adults. The students were able to share their knowledge and skills for fall prevention to promote optimal health for the community.
