At Hooding, graduates of the College of Law automatically become a member of the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association, as well as your College of Law Alumni Association (UCLAA), joining a network of over 5,000 law alumni across the globe. The UCLAA strives to create and strengthen the connections between the College of Law and its alumni. Members serve as ambassadors for prospective student

s, as mentors for law students, as speakers at events, or even as a member of the UCLAA Board of Trustees or the Dean’s Board of Visitors. Every year, the UCLAA hosts winter and summer socials, tailgates at UC football home games, and our annual Distinguished Alumni Luncheon. The Office of Student Affairs is partnering with us to collect gently used professional attire for the College of Law's Professional Clothing Closet. This new initiative is designed to provide law students in need with professional attire for interviews and other professional appointments. The closet is made available to students once a month (2/1, 3/7 and 4/4) or by individual appointment. Donations are being accepted in the Office of Student Affairs.

OK, this selfie is from a couple of weeks ago and not last night, but props go to OIP client Richard Horton and his wife Janette for making the drive over from Columbus to Dayton for last evening's screening of the Dean Gillispie documentary at The NEON on the eve of the second anniversary of Richard's Freedom Day!

Two years ago on Jan. 19, 2022, Richard was freed and reunited with his wife after 16 years of . A breakthrough in techniques made the difference in showing that Richard was indeed . Eight months ago in May, the prosecution finally dismissed his case once and for all.

To Richard and his entire family, enjoy what today represents, surely a landmark moment that your family waited many years to experience!
