We’ll be featuring some sultry sounds at halftime, including the Latin-infused “Gitana” and the big brass arrangement of “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” from 2001’s movie-musical Moulin Rouge.

Whether it’s your first or fiftieth season cheering on Cincinnati Football — we’ve got your guide to gameday, Bearcat Bands style.

Take a look at our TUCBIDG traditions and plan to be in your seats 21 minutes before kickoff to witness one of the most exciting traditions in college football: the CHARGE down the stadium steps!

It’s game week… LET’S GO CATS. ❤️🖤🐾

At Catwalk, a pep band and cheer squad parade through tailgaters in Sigma Sigma Commons upon the arrival of the football team to campus.

The band then plays our fight songs before we break for a pre-game meal.

One hour before kickoff, the band lines the steps in Sigma Sigma Commons for a concert featuring that week’s entire show—pregame and halftime.

It’s also when our University of Cincinnati Feature Twirlers get 🔥fired up🔥

Immediately following our concert, the band plays our signature cadence “Down the Drive” and heads through MainStreet into Nippert Stadium.

Since 1954, we’ve made a splash by flyyyyying down the Nippert Stadium steps and onto the field for our pregame performance. It’s one thing you definitely don’t want to miss!

What’s not to love about pregame? Our three fight songs (yes, there are three!), a block rotation during “Down the Drive” (audience participation encouraged), the singing of our Alma Mater and National Anthem, and finally our team’s arrival on the field. We bring the hype from the very beginning!

Every week’s a little different, but you get a damn good halftime show every time. Stay in your seats or come around to get the best view—you won’t be disappointed with the selections we have up our sleeve this season!

When the game is finished, we play our Alma Mater. Win or lose, we stand first and last for old UC.

Of course, if the team succeeds, we turn our shakos backward and play “All I Do is Win.”

Getting out of the stadium, our percussion section lines up outside Lindner Athletic Center to play our cadence “Paw.” The band marches up and out to get ready for dismissal by Sheakley Lawn.

Inspired by a call-and-response by George Parks, the band’s official dismissal ends with the two most important questions we have: What do you think? What do you know?
