As we move into the fall season, the College of Emergency Services has officially launched its third Paramedic cohort of the year, marking another exciting milestone in the continued growth of our program.
Our POR2602 cohort is currently in the Clinical Experience and will transition to the Field Experience and Capstone Internship phase of the program in mid-November. This cohort currently has 24 students enrolled.
Meanwhile, POR2606 is getting ready for their Cardiology Major Exam, and will begin the Medical Module of the didactic phase soon after. The cohort consists of 28 students. They continue to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the field.
On October 2nd, 28 students in POR2610 began the didactic phase of the Paramedic Program. The class is currently in the Airway Module, building a strong foundation that will support their learning throughout the remainder of the program.
Most recently, 10 students in the POR2702 cohort began the first term of Anatomy & Physiology today. These students are enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science Degree Program and will join future students in February 2027 for the start of the didactic phase.
We are proud of the continued growth and success of our Paramedic programs. We are educating, training, and preparing the next generation of EMS professionals who will serve their communities with skill, compassion, and excellence.
