Scripps shines in the latest 2027 college rankings! 💚 💡 ✨

We climbed 26 spots to #192 among more than 1,600 colleges ranked by Forbes; USNWR awarded us #38 among Best Liberal Arts Colleges and recognition for Best Undergraduate Teaching and Top Performers on Social Mobility, and we earned Best Value, Best College Dorms, and Most Beautiful Campus from The Princeton Review.

It’s a strong showing for the distinctive Scripps experience. Thank you to our community for making this such a special place!

Scripps College’s new Career Action Plan (CAP) builds career preparation into all four years, helping students explore their interests, gain experience, build professional relationships, and develop the confidence to make purposeful choices about their futures.

For alum Meris Mullaley ’05, an interdisciplinary Scripps education provided skills she has carried through a nonlinear career journey from archaeology and museum education to video game worldbuilding.

CAP builds on that same idea: your Scripps education can give you the adaptability to grow, change direction, and pursue new possibilities throughout your life.

The Scripps experience doesn’t end at graduation, it becomes part of a lifelong community committed to creating change. 💚

Barbara Bruner ’76 is continuing that legacy through a $37,000 gift to the Laspa Center for Leadership. Her support will help Scripps students participate in the Carter Center Executive Briefing, building their understanding of global challenges and values-driven leadership.

Since 2007, Barbara has sponsored 22 Scripps students through the opportunity. Her continued investment reflects one way alums can help open doors for the next generation of Scripps leaders.

At the 2026 Research Tea, four Scripps students presented summer research spanning political rhetoric, neuroscience, art and women’s history, and economic history. Their projects demonstrate how a Scripps education encourages students to connect disciplines, challenge assumptions, and pursue questions that matter to them.

From the classroom to research labs and archives, the Scripps experience continues to give students the freedom to explore where their ideas can take them.

Scripps is moving full speed ahead with the new Centennial Plaza! Phase one construction includes the Carolyn Lake Dance Center and 10th Street building, which are on track to open during the 2026–27 academic year.

This spring and summer, crews have made major progress on this much-needed campus expansion, which will offer new spaces for performance, rehearsal, classes, research, and collaboration. It’s exciting to see years of planning, philanthropy, and Scripps community vision become reality!
