Candidates can start our program in either Spring (January), Summer (May), or Fall and can graduate with a California Teaching Credential and a Master’s of Arts degree in just 15-19 months. Candidates working towards a Math credential have the option of pursuing a Master's of Arts degree in Math which opens doors to teaching at the community-college level. Because our program al

lows candidates to earn an MA while working towards their credential, our graduates earn higher salaries than most teachers who do not have advanced degrees. Because of our quality, school principals tell us our candidates graduate comparable to third or fourth year teachers instead of first year novices. This reputation has led our graduates to be highly sought after as teachers, and our graduates are employed even in times of volatile budget crisis. Additionally, many of our alumni are promoted into leadership roles within their school districts within 5 years of graduating.

Teacher Education alumna Robyn Rosebear Iraheta's middle school students are in need. Over 90 percent are economically disadvantaged, 35 percent are English Language Learners, and over 75 percent qualify for free or reduced lunch. They're also in love with Max, the protagonist in Rodman Philbrick's "Freak the Mighty." Robyn is raising money to purchase books for her students so they can finish the series and understand how one self-deprecating character can overcome his learning disability, the death of his beloved best friend, and create positive change in his own life. Please help her if you can.

My students need a class set of Rodman Philbrick Max the Mighty Books are like truth serum-- if you don't read, you can't figure out what's real.- Rodman Philbrick, Freak the Mighty My students are from San Bernardino, and the majority come from...
