A classroom can teach the fundamentals. A disaster simulation puts those skills to the test.
More than 50 RSU nursing students recently joined local emergency responders for a large-scale mock disaster exercise simulating a train collision and multi-vehicle crash. Students assessed injuries, triaged patients, and worked through real-world emergency response scenarios designed to prepare them for the challenges of modern healthcare. Students also completed Stop the Bleed certification training, preparing them to respond when communities need them most.

We're grateful to our community partners for helping create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that prepare the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals.

Rogers State University’s Criminal Justice Society members invite the campus community and local residents to the Herrington Hall this week to enjoy coffee and conversation with law enforcement professionals at the Coffee with a Cop event.

Looking for a family-friendly way to carve out some Halloween fun?

"The Haunted Hour: Secrets in STEM," an afternoon of spooky, STEM-themed Halloween fun, is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, in the main lobby of Herrington Hall on RSU’s Claremore campus.

This annual holiday event ties STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) with Halloween fun, allowing attendees to explore cybersecurity, fly drones, launch paper rockets, try their hand at pumpkin bowling and uncover some of the hidden “secrets” of STEM.

This event is free and open to the public. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged and all ages are welcome.

RoboClaws and CyberCats student organizations are hosting this event.

Congratulations, Dr. Nitindra Chowdary!

Rogers State University Assistant Professor of Technology and Justice Studies and RSU Innovation Lab Founder and Director Dr. Nitindra Chowdary has been invited to serve as a peer reviewer for another IEEE international conference: the International Conference on Signal Processing, Automation, Communication and Emerging Technology.

This recognition highlights his expertise in artificial intelligence, automation, intelligent systems, networking and emerging technologies, as well as his continued contributions to the international research community.
