You Have to Have the Harp: A Mother's Day Tea at Woodland Community College

Now, I have been to a tea party a time or two in my life. I have had some in my own home when my kids were young, for small celebrations and sometimes just for fun. I have enjoyed high tea at the impressive Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C., which sets the standards for everything a high tea should be. I’ve had afternoon tea in Western Washington, Sonora, CA, and a Mother’s Day tea in Lakeport. And every tea experience has been unique and set apart, except, of course, for the cucumber sandwiches. With midterms this week and Spring Break next week, our students will be focusing on their coursework, so we will not be offering service during this time.

We’re excited to return with our Louisiana Buffet on April 9, 2026, and look forward to serving you then. Thank you for supporting our students!

Aromas Café is back for Spring 2026 🌼
Our student-run restaurant is open to the public and directly connected to our American Regional and Global Cuisines class. As students progress through the course chapter by chapter, they bring their learning to life by preparing and serving those cuisines to the community. Menus change with each chapter, so every service reflects what students are studying in real time. Join us and support student learning on a plate, open to all.

Three weeks until the Fourth Annual Lake County Restaurant Expo!
We will be announcing some of the exciting guest speakers in the days ahead.
The Restaurant Expo is a one-day training and networking event focused on providing expert support to new and existing owners of restaurants, food trucks, catering companies, and other food industry businesses, presented by the Lake County Economic Development Corporation (Lake EDC).
Lake County food industry business owners and their staff are invited to attend the Expo on January 26, at the Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College.
Food industry business owners, managers, chefs, and staff will be treated to presentations from industry experts.
