Let’s Go! Congrats, Dohnte!

Dohnte Meyers has officially made the Cincinnati Bengals 53-man roster. Meyers is one of the best stories in the NFL this season and is expected to contribute on offense, despite being in one of the deepest receiver rooms in the league. Shoutout to Mark Slaughter for the photo. Had to tweak it for Dohnte!

I’ve been waiting to find the words to express my thoughts on the passing of Dr. Kent Wyatt over this past week. At his visitation tonight, there was so much history of his work at DSU on display. Never would I have imagined I would be part of that history.

But there, in his 2021 pocket calendar, 21 days on the job, “July 22”, 11:30, Dr. Lovin. I remember him coming over and meeting me in my office, talking about my history and his history, his love for DSU, and his offer to visit and talk in his office anytime if I had questions or wanted to know anything.

You never know what a treasure someone is until they’re not physically there anymore. Rest in Peace, Dr. Wyatt, from the ol’ school we love best! 💚🤍💚
