Meet Melissa Deming! Melissa is an adjunctive professor of Women’s Studies for the Balthasar Hubmaier School of Theology and Missions. She is passionate about the Word of God and women’s discipleship. This semester she is teaching Biblical Womanhood of the New Testament. Here is a word from her.

“Truett McConnell has some of the brightest collegiate women, and I get the unbelievable privilege of investing in them, encouraging them and equipping them for a variety of ministry contexts. This year in my class, I’ve walked alongside business majors, criminal justice, majors, and Christian Studies students helping them discover how the Bible esteems them and values them as co-heirs of Christ.”

Last night, TMU Student Life hosted an Operation Christmas Child packing party! Many Hubmaier students came and packed boxes for children this Christmas. Truly, it is better to give than to receive!

A group of TMU students joined TMU graduate Andrew Beall and Clarkston International Bible Church to do a mapping survey in one of Clarkston’s neighborhoods. We found out people’s country of origin, their mother tongue, practical needs, as well as prayer requests. Opportunities to share the Good News of the love of Jesus came about as groups of students knocked on doors and engaged in conversations. May the gospel spread to the ends of the earth.

We had a great time of fellowship and encouragement at our Hubmaier School meeting last Thursday! Students got to hear the heart of their professors, and the professors explained their passion for Christian education and preparation for Christian ministry. We are grateful for students and professors who love God and love His word.

Meet Dr. Maël Disseau, Vice President of Academic Services at Truett McConnell University and professor in the Hubmaier School of Theology and Missions. One of his favorite classes to teach is Bible Survey, where students walk through a semester-long overview of God’s Word.
Dr. Disseau especially enjoys investing in the freshman class, pouring into them both academically and spiritually. His passion for building Christ – centered community is evident in the way he teaches in mentors his students.
