We’re just past the midpoint in the semester, so last week the International Institute took students out for an afternoon of bowling, pool, table tennis, mini golf, and arcade game at Clinton's local bowling alley. Not only did students get to explore a new part of Clinton, they also got a much-needed study break.

We always encourage our international students to get involved on campus to make the most out of their experience at MC. Miana Rademeyer listened to our advice and is having an amazing time! Miana, a junior Social Work major and Music minor, is a member of the MC Singers Choir and also works on campus as a Resident Assistant for on-campus housing. Additionally, Miana is a member of Swannanoa Social Tribe and has held a leadership role as Tailgate Officer. At MC, learning happens inside and outside of the classroom.

We love seeing our students out and about on campus at MC! Jose and Victoria are both from Spain and graduating this December.
We’re wrapping up Week 6 of the fall semester and couldn’t be prouder of the hard work our students have put in so far. Keep it up, Choctaws!

We love to highlight our alumni who have graduated from MC and gone on to accomplish great things!
Anna Cheng graduated in 2025 with an MBA from MC and has since founded her own company, Apex Microelectronics Services & Enablement. She is bringing her years of experience in the semiconductor industry to make make an impact on a growing field.
Her studies at MC played a pivotal role in advancing her career and cultivating skills for this next chapter.
We are proud of Anna and all she is accomplishing!

We are wrapping up the fourth week of our fall semester. Recently students in Dr. Ladner's IDS199 course have had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share glimpses into their home countries with classmates. This course helps students expand their understanding of higher education in the U.S., increase cultural competency, and engage with international peers. We are excited for the weeks ahead in this semester!

We had a great time during our Back to School event on August 25th. Students were able to mingle, enjoy snacks from a variety of different cultures, and take a break from a busy day of classes and studies. Stay tuned for upcoming events and opportunities!
