🚨 OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS ARE HERE! 🚨

We, the Clinton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, invite our local youth of Sampson and Harnett Counties to make friends, try new things, and build their futures through mentoring, hands-on activities, monthly sessions, leadership development, and new experiences!

🔺 Delta Academy — Girls ages 11–14
💎 Delta GEMS — Young women ages 14–18
🔺 EMBODI — Young men ages 11–18

On Tuesday, August 25th, members of the Clinton Alumnae Chapter attended the Dunn City Council meeting in Harnett County to model and promote ongoing civic engagement.

We encourage all residents to attend local government meetings to build relationships with leaders, advocate for key issues, stay informed on community decisions, and hold elected officials accountable beyond Election Day.
During the meeting, the City Council honored Dafford Funeral Home with a proclamation celebrating its 80th anniversary of service. We also enjoyed connecting with Mayor Pro Tem April Gaulden (Ward 2) and Council Member Raquel McNeil (Ward 3).

The Clinton Alumnae Chapter remains committed to empowering our community to show up, stay informed, and advocate for meaningful change.

🎨 Celebrating the Arts! 🎨

Members of the Arts and Letters Committee of the Clinton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated attended an artist reception on August 20. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity, culture, and the talented artists whose work is being showcased.

The art exhibition will remain open through September 24, so there is still time to experience and support the arts!

Members of the Clinton Alumnae Chapter were proud to participate in the Democracy North Carolina Freedom Rising Tour, hosted by the Harnett County NAACP.

Our members deepen their understanding of the Voting Rights Act, gerrymandering, voter engagement, and other critical issues affecting our democracy. Through their attendance and active participation, chapter members were empowered with knowledge and resources to become more informed civic leaders and advocates within their communities. Members gained valuable knowledge to strengthening our commitment to civic education, social action, and community empowerment.
