On this solemn Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedoms. As Masons, we are reminded of the timeless virtues of Duty, Honor, and Brotherly Love that these heroes embodied in service to our nation.
Their devotion to the Light of Liberty inspires us to live with greater purpose, charity, and patriotism. May we forever hold their memory in our hearts.

Congratulations to our Brother, John M Ruffner, on receiving his 50-Year Masonic Service Pin — a remarkable milestone reflecting five decades of dedication to the Craft, Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. It was an honor to have District Deputy Grand Master Douglas Madenford present the award, joined by Brothers from across the 21st Masonic District of Pennsylvania in celebrating this special occasion. May the Great Architect continue to bless our honored Brother for his years of faithful service to Freemasonry.

Congratulations to our Brothers, Bobby Lee (front row left) and Craig Hewitt (front row right), who have been duly raised from Fellow Craft to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. May they continue to walk uprightly before God and man, guided by the Light of Masonry and strengthened by the bonds of our Fraternity.

A special commendation to Tom Snyder, P.M., and Alan Guelich, P.M., of Noble Lodge No. 480 for their exemplary and well‑delivered Degree Conferrals. Bro. Robert Mcgarvey is also to be commended for his outstanding work in guiding our candidates from Entered Apprentice to Master Mason.

In February 1731, Benjamin Franklin was initiated into St. John’s Lodge in Philadelphia; the earliest known Masonic Lodge in North America. On June 24 of that year, the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania was formed. By 1734, Franklin had risen to the position of Right Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania and conducted Grand Lodge meetings at the Tun.

Robert D. Brink, board member of The Tun Legacy Foundation, is the Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania exactly 292 years later!

Created by Jim West, the bronze statue depicts George Washington showing a Masonic apron given to him to Benjamin Franklin, while Franklin suggests that Washington puts it on and attends a Masonic meeting.

Happy 294th Birthday to the one and only.

"Freemasonry is an institution founded on eternal reason and truth; whose deep basis is the civilization of mankind, and whose everlasting glory it is to have the immovable support of those two mighty pillars, science and morality." - Brother George Washington

Today we celebrate President's Day. Let us all tip our historical hats to these fine brothers who went on to serve our country in the highest office that can be held. A special shout out to James Buchanan, a Pennsylvania Mason who served as a Worshipful Master and the very first District Deputy Grand Master in the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania!
