Full time Dairy Herdsman position in Whitman, Massachusetts:

Hornstra Farm is a 4th and 5thgeneration family-owned and operated milk bottling and homedelivery business based in Norwell and Whitman, Massachusetts. We currently seek a self-motivated individual willing to learn and join our animal husbandry team at the Whitman location.

We are currently growing a herd of registered Holsteins and Guernsey. As the assistant herdsman duties would include milking, feeding, cleaning, herd work and general maintenance. Both farms are public facing, hence a focus on presentation and cleanliness is a must. The ideal candidate would have experience with dairy cows, public education, good welfare practices and general knowledge of dairy cattle.

Considering both the team and public, this person should have a collaborative spirit at ease with and respectful of diversity.

Candidates should be able to lift 50lbs, be willing to work mornings and some weekends, and have dairy experience.

Hourly rate $20 - $25/hour, on site housing and benefit package based on experience.

Technical Dairy Representative – NY / Northeast

We are expanding in the Northeast and seeking a Technical Dairy Representative based in Upstate New York.
This field-based role focuses on working with dairy nutritionists, veterinarians, and producers to introduce our natural digestive development program.

What you’ll do:
• Build relationships with key influencers including nutrition consultants, veterinarians, and producers
• Conduct on-farm visits and technical discussions with dairy operations
• Understand producer challenges and provide practical options

Background in animal agriculture (dairy experience preferred). You should be comfortable making regular on-farm calls and working directly with producers and be passionate for the livestock industry and with curiosity about evolving production challenges. We need a strong listener who understands relationship-building. University degree in animal science, agriculture, or related field a plus
