Sigma Alpha would like to congratulate our sister, Abbie Naccarato, on successfully completing the 4-Week Firefighter I Bootcamp. Throughout the program, Abbie trained in engine operations, truck operations, and firefighter self-rescue. 🚒👩🏼‍🚒

We are especially proud to recognize Abbie for earning Valedictorian of her class—an incredible accomplishment that reflects her hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

We love seeing our sisters pursue their passions and make an impact both within agriculture and beyond. We are so proud to celebrate all that Abbie has accomplished! Congratulations, Abbie, and congratulations to all of the graduates on this outstanding achievement!

Internship Spotlight ✨🌱🌽

This summer, Lilah Stroud has been gaining hands-on experience as a Crop Consultant Intern with Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Lilah spends her days scouting corn, potato, and soybean fields for issues including nutrient deficiencies, pest damage, w**d pressure, and plant diseases. She then works with growers to identify these issues and help find solutions to keep their crops healthy and productive.

She has also had the opportunity to work with three different test plots: comparing different corn seed varieties, testing a new product designed to improve nitrogen availability in potatoes, and studying how different rates of calcium affect potato plant growth and development.

We are so proud of Lilah for putting her knowledge into practice and gaining valuable experience in agronomy, crop production, and working directly with growers. Her dedication and curiosity continue to grow, and we are excited to see all she will accomplish in the field of agriculture. ✨🌱

As a dual major in Animal Science and Fisheries & Wildlife entering her senior year at SUNY Cobleskill, Abbie is excited to help you feel right at home at Camp Sigma Alpha.

Her favorite part of Sigma Alpha has been meeting some of her closest friends—friends who have become lifelong sisters. She can’t wait to welcome everyone to recruitment, answer your questions, and help you find your place in our sisterhood.

This past week, our sister Alyssa had the incredible opportunity to attend the New York FFA State Convention as a NY Teach Ag Ambassador! Throughout the week, she spent time connecting with students at the Teach Ag booth, promoting the importance of agricultural education and sharing her passion for the future of the industry. 🌽💙

On Friday, Alyssa had the honor of presenting her very own workshop, “Agricultural Education: Your Future, Your Impact,” where she encouraged and inspired the next generation of agriculturalists to explore the impact they can make through ag-ed. We are so proud to see her representing both agricultural education and the teaching profession with such passion and dedication!

We also want to congratulate our alumna, Abigail Marino, on receiving her Empire Degree at convention — such an amazing accomplishment! 👏

It was an unforgettable week celebrating leadership, growth, and the future of agriculture. We are beyond proud of our sisters and all they continue to accomplish both within Sigma Alpha and the agricultural community! 💛🌱
