KH Coder II (Primary Care Coding Preferred)
Are you an experienced medical coder looking to join a collaborative and supportive team? Kootenai Health is seeking a KH Coder II to support accurate and compliant coding for professional services across our clinics. Primary Care coding experience is preferred.
In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate assignment of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and modifiers to ensure services are accurately represented and compliant with regulatory requirements. You'll partner with providers, clinic leadership, and billing teams to support coding accuracy, provider education, denial prevention, and process improvement efforts.
What We're Looking For: • AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required
• 1-3 years of professional services coding and billing experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding principles
• Experience working in multiple EMRs, including Epic preferred
• Knowledge of payer-specific billing regulations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate providers and staff
