𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐫-𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲
Cats can purr when they’re happy, but purring doesn’t always mean a cat is content. Cats may also purr when they’re stressed, frightened, or in pain. That is why veterinary professionals look at the whole patient and not just one behavior.

🩺𝐕𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Cats are masters at hiding illness. Veterinary nurses learn to evaluate behavior, posture, appetite, respiratory rate, vital signs, and subtle changes instead of relying on one sign alone.

Roxy & Penelope: Twice the Chihuahua, Twice the Personality 💕👯‍♀️

Why adopt one best friend when you can adopt two? Meet sisters Roxy (8.5 lbs) and Penelope (9 lbs), two 1-year-old Chihuahua mixes who come as a perfectly adorable little package deal!

🎭 Roxy: The Drama Queen
Roxy may be little, but her personality certainly isn’t! She’s a certified cuddle bug who LOVES attention, affection, and being close to her people. She might add a little drama here and there, but really, that’s just part of her charm. 👑

🌸 Penelope: The Shy Sweetheart
Penelope can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but give her some patience and time to feel safe and you’ll get to see her sweet, loving, playful personality come to life. Once you’re in her circle, she has plenty of affection to share! 💕

👯‍♀️ Together: The Dynamic Duo
These sisters share a very special bond, and we would love to see them find a forever home together. They already have the most important thing: a best friend to experience life with. Now they just need their people!

🐱 One request from the girls: No cats, please! Both sisters would be happiest in a cat-free home.

Stella: Warning: Comes With High Speeds & Floppy Ears 💨👂

Meet Stella, a 8-month-old, 44-lb red coonhound who is basically the definition of puppy: smart, silly, sweet, and occasionally traveling at speeds that probably require a license. 😂

💨 Top speed: ZOOM. Stella LOVES her zoomies and is happiest when she has plenty of opportunities to run, play, and burn off that puppy energy.

🧠 Brains AND beauty: She’s very smart, attentive, food motivated, and easy to train.

🐶 Dog-approved: Stella does great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to play with.

🦮 Leash skills: Surprisingly impressive for a girl with places to go—she already has good leash manners!

💕 Meeting new people: Stella can be a little shy around unfamiliar faces, especially in groups. Give her a little time to warm up and let her come out of her shell.

🚽 Potty training: A work in progress! She’s still a puppy and hasn’t quite figured out that there are preferred locations for all bathroom activities. 😅 But the consistency of a permanent home will help everything start to click!

Stella is looking for someone who appreciates puppy enthusiasm, hound-dog ears, plenty of exercise, and spontaneous bursts of speed. Give this clever girl some patience, training, and room to zoom, and you’ll have one fantastic companion on your hands. ❤️

Lunna: Certified Gentle Giant & Professional Sweetheart 💕🐾

Meet Lunna, a 70-lb, 3-year-old gentle giant with a whole lot of dog and an even bigger amount of love to give!

🌳 Her happy place: Anywhere she has room to run, explore, and stretch those legs. Lunna loves having the freedom to roam and would be thrilled with plenty of space to enjoy.

🎓 Already knows: Sit and shake!

🚽 House manners: Potty trained! ✔️

🐶 Dog friends: Yes, please! Lunna does well with other dogs and especially LOVES playing with her brother, Apollo, who is also looking for his forever home.

💕 Special talent: Being a giant sweetheart.

Trigger: Seeking a Best Friend & Permanent Treat Provider 🦴💙

Meet Trigger, an 8-month-old, 50-lb Coonhound mix who is still figuring out just how fun the world can be!

Trigger had a bit of a rocky start to life, so new people and unfamiliar places can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. But give this boy patience, encouragement, and plenty of love, and you’ll start to see the playful puppy hiding underneath. 🥹

🦴 Love language: Treats. Lots of treats. Preferably provided for the rest of his life.

🐶 Ideal wingman: Another dog! Trigger really benefits from having a confident canine friend around to show him the ropes and help him feel more comfortable.

💨 Puppy mode: Fully activated! Once he’s comfortable, Trigger has plenty of puppy energy and is ready to play.

💕 What he needs most: Someone patient who will continue showing him that the world and the people in it can be pretty great.

🚽 Potty training: Still a work in progress. We’re working on it with him now, and we think the consistency of a permanent home will help everything start to click!

Fun fact: Trigger’s sister Stella is also in our program! They don’t need to be adopted together, but Trigger would love to have another dog in his future home.

Trigger may need a little extra time to find his confidence, but watching this sweet boy learn, grow, and realize he’s finally home will be worth every minute. 💙

Elaina: The World’s Sweetest Tug-of-War Champion 🏆

Elaina is a gorgeous 42-lb gray and brown pittie pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! 💕

🎾 Favorite hobby: Tug-of-war… and she takes her title very seriously!

🦴 Secret to her heart: Treats! This food-motivated girl is eager to learn and very trainable.

🐶 Social life: Elaina wants to be friends with EVERY dog she meets. She loves rough-and-tumble play and can hold her own with older, bigger dogs.
🧠 Her superpower: She’s smart, attentive, and ready to learn!

🚽 Bonus: She’s already potty trained!

🦮 On the go: She walks nicely on a leash, although exciting distractions can sometimes get the best of her.

👧 Kiddo compatibility: Elaina plays with her whole heart and sometimes her whole body! Because she can be pretty rough and enthusiastic during playtime, a home without small children would be the best fit for her.

Elaina is still a puppy, so she’s working on perfecting her manners. Give her plenty of playtime, a little guidance, and maybe a treat or two, and this clever girl will be ready to show you just how quickly she can learn.
