Dr. Francis DuVinage, director of the National Scholarships Office, has received the 2026 Churchill Adviser Award for his work in building the University of Maryland’s impressive record of Churchill Scholarships.

This honor recognizes Francis for identifying and supporting exceptional STEM students to pursue master’s degrees at Cambridge University’s Churchill College in the United Kingdom. Over the last seven years, nine UMD students have received the prestigious scholarships, which cover tuition and expenses.
