We want to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our students for attending our 2026 Fall Career & Internship Fair, especially our fantastic employers who fully booked every table.

While we do this every semester, no two fairs are ever the same. This was our first two-day fair in some time. And we had a Terptastic 🐢 turnout of eager UMD students and alumni.

Here are the preliminary attendance highlights:

Day 2, Friday, October 2: 1,831 attendees
This represents 4,858 student and alum attendee check-ins over the two days, with 4,331 distinct attendees.

Employer Attendance
300 total employers and 822 representatives
Day 1, Thursday, October 1: 430 Reps
Day 2, Friday, October 2: 392 Reps

Please join the University Career Center @ INFO and the UMD INFO College Office of Opportunity, Access, Community Engagement, and Support (OACES) for an evening of networking with alumni and industry partners. At the Human Library, you'll connect with our volunteer “books” to learn more about career pathways of interest and how your degree is preparing you for the future.
The basic idea of a human library began in 2000 in Copenhagen. It was designed to facilitate human connection and conversation as a way of overcoming differences. In a human library the "books" are people, and folks “check out” a book in order to have a conversation and learn about them. This model has been replicated, expanded, and adapted in countless ways.

Our human library includes “books” on the following topics:
Cybersecurity
Digital accessibility
UX design and research
Augmented reality
Education
Public libraries
Data analytics
Digital archiving and curation
Information policy
Project management
…and more to come!
