Happening Next Tuesday! AAP will host our 6th annual Celebration for National First-Generation College Student Day. The goal of this event is to foster a sense of community among the first-generation student population on campus and celebrate their accomplishments. We invite students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who identify as or support first-generation students to stop by the Stamp Student Union (outside the entrance closest to the Nyumburu Cultural Center) between 11 am and 2 pm. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other first-generation Terps, learn more about AAP resources, view famous first-generation students, enjoy hot chocolate, and pick up swag to recognize the achievements and unique strengths first-generation students bring to campus. Feel free to check out our message board and add a message if you feel inspired!
